Kia Ora,
We wanted to reach out to you after todays announcement about the rapidly changing COVID19 pandemic that we find our lives caught up in. These are indeed unprecedented timesfor most
of our generations and so together we are navigating our way through this storm.
As a church we’ve committed to doing whatever the government is asking us to do, and in light
of todays announcement for no groups over 100 to meet – we are moving the location of our
church service from it’s normal site…..to your house!! Now before you panic and pull out all the
old deck chairs from the garage, we’re going to have church live streamed and call it Hope in
our Home where you can gather with your friends, neighbours, whanau or growth group and
have church from your living room. We’ll have 4 services that you can choose from with each
site hosting a different time slot:
Hornby @ 9am
West Melton @ 10am
Rolleston @11am
Evening (Hornby) @ 6pm
There will be worship, prayer, a message by a familiar face and all hosted by your site pastor. We
also know that in this climate fellowship is key for our spiritual, mental and emotional well
being. So, if you’re feeling physically well and feel comfortable, we’d encourage you to join with
others in our church community to have Hope in our Home by connecting with others and
viewing the live stream together. Don’t know who you can connect with? No problem, we’re
going to have a list of peoples homes who have said you’d be welcome there. And if you yourself
would like to help by hosting Hope in our Home then please let your pastor know ASAP.
Well church – that’s about it for the time being. Keep an eye on your inbox for an email with a
link to view the live stream, let us know if you can help with hosting a viewing, and let’s together
see what God is going to do in and though this season that we find ourselves in!
